yoga class descriptions

we offer vinyasa and yin yoga classes at varying levels + paces.

some classes are intertwined with katonah yoga, power, restorative, breathwork, and more. the beauty of our studio is that no teacher has the same style. you experience something new with each class you take.

connect to your breath and find balance + perspective through movement. modifications and variations are offered, allowing you the freedom to have a class experience that flows seamlessly within your own body and practice. with a variety of different teachers leading this class, each have their own spice that they bring to the mat.

everyone is powerful. play with longer and stronger asana, dynamic movement, core work, and balancing.. boost your strength, stamina, and confidence; and trust in your own potential and power.

Guided movement that is mindful and intentional. Begin with a slow vinyasa flow and end in restorative poses to unwind and release. Use of props is encouraged.

while “yang” yoga focuses on your muscles, yin yoga targets your deep connective tissues, like your fascia, ligaments, joints, and bones. it’s slow and meditative, giving you space to turn inward and tune into both your mind and the physical sensations of your body.

yin yoga is based on ancient chinese philosophies + taoist principles which believe there are pathways of energy that run through our bodies. by stretching and surrendering to these poses, we open up blockages and release energy to flow more freely.
